Before there was GoPro, there was the Nikonos Camera System. A rugged, waterproof, crash proof brick of a camera originally designed by Jacque Cousteau with the Nikon Camera company. This amazing little camera has seen a revival of use with people taking it back to the waters from whence it came & capturing new images in new ways.
This is a unique mixed media art piece for those camera lovers in your life that just can’t get enough of these funny little tadpoles. Hand wood burned into a plywood board, measuring 15 inches long by 11.25 inches wide and 3/8 inches thick, then sealed in water based polyurethane sealant, colored with acrylic paint before being sealed 2 more times. Ensuring the paint won’t scratch off. The edges are torched to created a faming or vignetting effect. Complete with a picture frame hanger this piece is ready to sit on only ones wall right out of the box.
